The most popular skiing resort around Villach is the „Gerlitze“. The ground station of the Cable car is just 3km away from the Waldhof (3 minutes by car).  The Gerlitze offers slopes from blue to black for beginners and advanced skiers and snowboarders. An official skiing school and rental equipment is available at the middle station.

Ice skating is also possible on some small lakes around Villach – please ask our staff for details. If you´re lucky, lake Ossiach also freezes in some winters, but due to global warming this happens only quite rarely these times…
